1. Introduction
Welcome to Potolo! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your application and potential engagement as a Shopper with Potolo ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). By submitting your application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Shopper Role & Responsibilities
As a Potolo Shopper, you will be responsible for:
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately picking and packing customer orders from our inventory according to provided specifications.
- Quality Control: Ensuring all items are in good condition, properly packaged, and meet quality standards before dispatch.
- Inventory Management: Assisting with stock organization, inventory checks, and reporting discrepancies.
- Time Management: Completing assigned tasks within designated timeframes to ensure timely order processing.
- Safety Compliance: Following all safety protocols and guidelines while handling products and operating equipment.
- Communication: Maintaining clear communication with supervisors and team members regarding order status and any issues.
3. Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Shopper position, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have legal authorization to work in the jurisdiction where services will be provided
- Possess basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Be physically capable of lifting and carrying items up to 25 kg
- Have reliable attendance and punctuality
- Pass a background check (if required by local regulations)
4. Employment Relationship
Your engagement with Potolo may be structured as:
- Full-time Employment: Regular scheduled hours with benefits as per company policy
- Part-time Employment: Flexible hours based on operational needs
- Independent Contractor: Self-employed basis with flexibility in scheduling (subject to local labor laws)
The specific nature of your engagement will be detailed in your employment contract or service agreement.
5. Compensation & Payment
5.1 Base Pay
Shoppers will receive competitive compensation based on:
- Hourly rate or per-order rate as specified in your contract
- Local minimum wage requirements and industry standards
- Experience level and performance metrics
5.2 Performance Bonuses
Eligible Shoppers may receive performance-based bonuses for:
- Exceeding productivity targets
- Maintaining high accuracy rates
- Consistent attendance and reliability
5.3 Payment Schedule
Payments will be processed according to the company's standard payroll schedule (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly as specified in your contract).
6. Working Hours & Scheduling
- Work schedules will be provided in advance and may vary based on operational demands
- Shoppers are expected to adhere to assigned shifts and notify supervisors of any unavailability
- Overtime may be required during peak periods and will be compensated according to applicable laws
- Flexible scheduling options may be available for part-time positions
7. Training & Development
Potolo is committed to your professional growth:
- Onboarding Training: Comprehensive training on systems, procedures, and safety protocols
- Ongoing Development: Regular training sessions to enhance skills and efficiency
- Career Advancement: Opportunities for promotion to senior shopper, team lead, or supervisory roles
8. Code of Conduct
All Shoppers must:
- Maintain professional behavior and respectful communication
- Protect customer privacy and handle personal information confidentially
- Report to work in appropriate attire and maintain personal hygiene
- Refrain from theft, fraud, or misuse of company property
- Avoid conflicts of interest and unauthorized use of company resources
- Comply with all company policies, including anti-discrimination and harassment policies
9. Health & Safety
Your safety is our priority. Potolo provides a safe working environment and expects all Shoppers to follow safety guidelines, use protective equipment when required, and report any hazards or incidents immediately.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided as needed
- Safety training is mandatory for all Shoppers
- Workers' compensation coverage is provided as per local regulations
10. Confidentiality & Data Protection
Shoppers must:
- Keep all customer information, business operations, and proprietary data confidential
- Not disclose, share, or misuse any confidential information during or after employment
- Comply with data protection laws and company privacy policies
11. Termination
Either party may terminate the engagement:
- With Notice: Providing advance notice as specified in your contract (typically 2 weeks)
- For Cause: Immediate termination for serious misconduct, policy violations, or performance issues
- Without Cause: At-will termination (where applicable by law) with appropriate notice or severance
12. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your engagement with Potolo will be resolved through:
- Good faith negotiation between the parties
- Mediation by a neutral third party (if negotiation fails)
- Arbitration or legal proceedings as per local laws and your employment contract
13. Amendments
Potolo reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Shoppers will be notified of material changes, and continued engagement after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which you perform services for Potolo, without regard to conflict of law principles.
